UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is an innovative platform developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) with the aim of revolutionizing e-governance in India.

One of the key objectives of UMANG is to make e-governance more accessible and user-friendly for citizens. By bringing together services from various government departments onto a single platform, UMANG ensures that citizens can access a wide range of e-Gov services from Central, State, Local Bodies, and government agencies through apps, websites, SMS, and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) channels.

Some of the notable features of UMANG include:

 <li>Secure and Scalable: UMANG supports authentication mechanisms including Aadhaar-based authentication for service access. The sensitive profile data is encrypted to protect user privacy.</li>

UMANG offers citizens easy access to a wide range of Indian government services covering healthcare, finance, education, housing, energy, agriculture, transport, utilities, employment, and skills.

There are several key benefits that UMANG provides to citizens:

 <li>Saving of Time and Money: With UMANG, citizens can avail government services anytime and anywhere through their mobile phones, desktops, or laptops, eliminating the need to physically visit government offices and stand in long queues.</li>
 <li>Uniform Experience: All government services available on UMANG provide a secure and uniform experience for users, including payment-based transactions.</li>
